Behind the lens there are moments that transcend the ordinary, moments where nature orchestrates all the elements coming into flow to create the most breath-taking skies and beautiful experience for a gorgeous couple awaiting the arrival of their soon-to-be fam bam of three.

I feel so lucky that one of these mornings was for Tegan and Patrick’s maternity session.

Mama nature as the backdrop to setting the stage.

As we walked the beautiful path from our cars down to the beach, we could see a glimpse of first light, and all had a moment of excitement for the morning ahead. The sun, still low on the horizon, painted the surroundings in soft hues, salty air and a deep connection between the three of them.

Embracing nature's gifts.

Unfazed by a little coldness in the sand and air, Tegan and Patrick embraced the elements with pure joy and anticipation. With the ocean as their backdrop, they sat, walked, played in the water and had a morning together to pause and anchor into that fact that pretty soon their first born would be earth side. Gosh, how mind-blowing that thought still is to me.

Dancing with light.

I am forever dancing with the light on shoots and guiding Tegan and Patrick to move into pockets of light to amplify the beauty of her blooming baby was so magical, witnessing her illuminating her joy and the incredible beauty of motherhood. It was a reminder that even amidst life's challenges, the power of love and the miracle of creation can fill our hearts with awe and deep connection.

Cherish the journey.

Motherhood is a profound and transformative season—one that unfolds with its own rhythm and cadence. It is a chapter marked by growth, both physical and emotional, as well as an indescribable connection to new life.
